The great news is that LOLA is looking fantastic and I’m very excited about how it’s coming together.
The other news is that LOLA will be making it’s debut in early 2015, instead of by Christmas, as I had hoped for. LOLA is my first book, and I didn’t anticipate how long the creative process would take, from editing the content to creating artwork for 100+ pages. My amazing team is doing a beautiful job helping LOLA become even better than I could have imagined so please forgive me for this delay and know that LOLA will be ready as soon as it’s as perfect as I would like it to be.
LOLA is clocking in at 182 pages and there are still some more chapters to work on, so it’s looking like it will be over 200 pages as well, so more to enjoy.
Every single Kickstarter backer has been added to my WISH BOARD.
Here I am with the two young women who inspired me to write LOLA, my daughters Arielle and Lucie, who I love and adore. May they never forget that no act of kindness no matter how small is never wasted (Aesop), that obstacles make your imagination grow, that those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts (Rachel Carson), that they make healthy choices that meet their needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, and that living by example is always a better teacher then trying to preach.
As of July 29th, 2014 LOLA has been funded!!!

Thank you for all your incredible support and encouragement! I could not have done it without your help! LOLA is RELIEVED that we met AND exceeded our goal, which means that I will be able to have more books printed to donate to young women in shelters, prisons and to other outreach programs.

An inside peak at what’s happening at LOLA headquarters! Just finished shooting all the delicious recipes to be featured in LOLA, and planned some of the layouts beforehand on my dining room table! Ha!
All contributors who chose a LOLA sticker only in the LOLA fundraising campaign will be receiving one of these homemade envelopes in the mail in the next few days. I Re-used test backgrounds printouts and turned them into envelopes instead of throwing them in the trash!
